Hi, I’m Heather Kitchen—a photographer, food stylist, and passionate home cook based in Upstate South Carolina.
For years, I’ve been chasing beautiful light and meaningful stories through my camera. I started out capturing dramatic landscapes and quiet, soulful moments in the South, and over time, I found myself drawn to the stories food can tell. These days, I spend most of my time in the world of food photography, working with real dishes, real ingredients, and brands that care about connecting with their people.
I’m not just a photographer—I style the food, cook it myself, and carefully edit each image to bring out its natural beauty. No fake ice cream or inedible props here. I believe the food should be as real and honest as the people who make it.
I built a cozy studio space in Spartanburg, South Carolina where I handle everything from cooking to final edits. Whether you’re a restaurant wanting to refresh your menu photos, a small food brand preparing for your first big launch, or someone simply looking for photography that feels genuine—I’d love to help.
I especially enjoy working with local and regional businesses who might not have a big production budget, but who still want something beautiful and thoughtful. I get it—I’ve built my business from the ground up too.
If you’re curious about working together or just want to talk through some ideas, feel free to reach out. I’d love to hear your story.
